Hard-water treatment
Water Softeners for Hard Water in the Jackson, MS Metro
Stop scale buildup, spotty dishes, and dry skin with a softener sized to your water.
The problem
Hard water is common across the Jackson suburbs and on well supply throughout Central Mississippi. The dissolved calcium and magnesium leave chalky scale on fixtures, spots on glassware, crusty buildup on shower heads, and a film that makes soap and shampoo feel like they never fully rinse.
Left alone, scale collects inside your water heater and appliances, shortens their life, and drives up energy use because the heater works harder through a layer of mineral.
What we install, and why
A water softener uses ion exchange to swap the hardness minerals for a small amount of sodium (or potassium, if you prefer), then regenerates on a metered schedule so it only uses salt and water when it actually needs to.
We measure your hardness during the free assessment and size the softener to your household so it is efficient, not oversized. On homes that also have iron or sulfur, we pair softening with the right treatment instead of asking the softener to do a job it was not built for.

Good to know
Water Softeners: questions we hear
Will softened water taste salty?
No. Ion exchange adds only a small amount of sodium relative to your hardness, well below what you would taste. If you are on a sodium-restricted diet we can set the system up with potassium chloride instead.
Do I still need a drinking water filter if I have a softener?
A softener solves hardness, not taste or dissolved solids. Many homeowners pair a softener with a reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink so the drinking water is also crisp and low in dissolved minerals.
How much salt will it use?
A metered softener only regenerates based on the water you actually use, so salt consumption stays reasonable. We size the unit to your home during the assessment to keep it efficient.
